Personal Pickups
The HercuLoc is an industrial product for work trucks. If you want to have an industrial hard cover on your personal truck we’ll be very appreciative of your business. The HercuLoc will give you outstanding security, easy access and years of yeoman service. But please understand that the fit and finish is not what you’ll get with a sleek, sexy and match painted retail truck cap. If fit and finish are of utmost importance to you, DO NOT Purchase a HercuLoc.
HercuLocs are about utility and durability, not sexy looks. We spend extra money to make HercuLocs the most secure and durable pickup caps on the market. We do not spend money on stylized fiberglass molds or fancy paint jobs because that would price us out of the market.
We do not and will not make low profile covers. Work truck customers need the extra volume the HercuLoc cover provides, so they can load the truck above the bed rails and close the cover. The arch profile of the HercuLoc cover also makes it inherently stronger. We tried a prototype low profile cover with our commercial and government customers and it was not suitable for their needs.
We do not paint covers. The HercuLoc covers are gel-coated fiberglass, which is six times thicker than paint and far more durable. The covers are paintable and any body shop can paint yours.
We only make HercuLocs for Ford F-Series and GM Silverado/Sierra pickups. About 78% of full sized pickups sold are Fords, Chevys and GMCs. They represent at least 90% of the pickups in the commercial and government fleets. We are a small company and cannot tool up for every kind of pickup bed in an attempt to go after the last 10% of the work truck market.
We don’t make HercuLocs for Dodge Rams. We used to have Dodge models but sold very few of them. The current Dodge Rams have such a radically different tailgate that totally different tooling would be required. Unless and until there is sufficient demand for Dodge Ram HercuLocs in the fleets we will stick with Ford and GM.
We don’t make HercuLocs for Toyotas, Nissans or compact pickups.
These trucks are not commonly used in commercial and government fleets.
